Mr Speaker provided the huge upset emerging by a head as the second longest shot in the field - 23-1 odds while 2-1 favorite Adelaide finished second. Flamboyant finished third win the field of 10 sophomore fillies. French invader Gailo Chop was fourth followed by Sheldon, Toast of New York, Global View, Bobby's Kitten, Pornichet, and Gala Award. Dance With Fate was scratched.
