Wake Forest Wins Man o' War Stakes at Belmont Park

The $400,000 Grade 1 Man o' War Stakes took place at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York and Saturday, May 14. Horses four years old and upward took to Belmont Park's Inner Turf track and raced 1 3/8 miles. 2-1 favorite Wake Forest earned his first U.S. stakes victory and first grade I or group I score - by three quarters of a length in the field of nine. Stablemate 18-1 longshot Money Multiplier finished a good second while Can'thelpbelieving got in for third at 12-1 odds.
