Third choice Wishing Gate continued to show her affinity for the California track by recording her first stakes win by 1 3/4 lengths for trainer Tom Proctor and jockey Gary Stevens. Unusual Heat finished a good second while 8-5 favorite Iotapa finished third. Charlie Em was fourth, followed by Judy In Disguise, Lilbourne Eliza, Disko Dasko, Miss Empire, and Kyriaki.
