Converge Wins Palm Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park

The Grade 3 Palm Beach Stakes was run Saturday, February 27 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida - a 1 1/16 mile turf test for three year olds. Paul Pompa Jr.'s 5-2 morning line favorite Converge was best in the 13 horse field, winning by three quarters of a length over Giant Run who was sent off at 9-1 odds and 11-1 shot Ousby who got in for third. J R 's Holiday, Gimlet, Scholar Athlete, Space Mountain, 2-1 second choice Kismet's Heels, Don't Be So Salty, Cave Johnson, Urban Bourbon, Frontier Ranger and American Phantom completed the order of finish while Azar scratched.
