Commissioner Wins Hawthorne Gold Cup at Hawthorne Race Course

Las Vegas, NV - The $250,000 Grade 2 Hawthorne Gold Cup was contested at Hawthorne Race Course in Cicero, Illinois on Saturday, November 28 - a 1 1/4 mile dirt race for older horses. WinStar Farm's Todd Pletcher trained overwhelming 4-5 favorite Commissioner ended his career with an impressive 2 1/2 length win in the field of eight. 6-1 shot Neck 'n Neck finished second with 3-1 second choice Majestic Harbour getting third. Completing the order of finish were Street Spice, Valiant City, Lahshad, Mister Marti Gras, and Fordubai.
