Shared Belief Wins CashCall Futurity at Hollywood Park
Las Vegas, NV - The biggest race of the weekend - the $750,000 Grade 1 CashCall Futurity went down Saturday, December 14 at Betfair Hollywood Park in Inglewood, California - a 1 1/16 mile test for some of the best two year olds in the land. It was even-money favorite Shared Belief that came up with the easy 5 3/4 length victory. Shared Belief is now pointed toward a possible Kentucky Derby start and consideration for an Eclipse Award with the win. 26-1 shot Candy Boy held second following a stewards' inquiry, with the Hollendorfer-trained Tamarando third in the field of 12 2-year-olds. Bond Holder finished fourth followed by Electric Eddie, Brother Soldier, Sheikinator, Rankhasprivileges, Even Echo, Kobe's Back, and Tap it Rich, the 5-2 second choice. Karma King was pulled in the stretch.
