Nikki's Sandcastle Wins Haygard Fayette Stakes at Keeneland

Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 Haygard Fayette Stakes went down on closing day at the fall meet at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky Saturday, October 26. Nikki's Sandcastle provided the surprise at 11-1 odds overcoming traffic problems to win by 1 1/4 lengths in come-from-behind fashion. Winning Cause, sent off at 7-1 odds finished second while You Know I Know was third at 6-1 odds. Finnegans Wake finished fourth, followed by Lea, Villandry, Ol Army, Set the Sail, and Willcox Inn.
