Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park Results

Las Vegas, NV - The main event on Monmouth Park's Sunday card was the $1 million Grade 1 William Hill Haskell Invitational. Two horses featured on the Triple Crown trail duked it out with Todd Pletcher trained Verrazano coming out on top in record fashion - smashing the competition by 9 3/4 lengths as the 11-10 choice. Power Broker finished in second as the third choice at 5-1 odds with another Pletcher pupil Micromanage coming on for third. Preakness winner Oxbow finished a disappointing fourth as the 3-1 second choice. Oxbow was followed by Pick of the Litter, Vyjack, and Golden Soul, the Kentucky Derby runner-up who trailed throughout.
