Texas Chrome Wins Oklahoma Derby at Remington Park

The $400,000 Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby was run on Sunday, September 25 at Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - a 1 1/8 miles dirt test for three year olds. Danny Keene's 2-1 race favorite Texas Chrome proved to be best on the day, emerging by just a half length in the field of 11. 4-1 third choice Sticksstatelydude made a good bid but wound up second and Fish Trappe Road who was also sent off at 2-1, a few lengths back in third. 55-1 longshot Pass the Buck finished fourth while Secret Passage, Seeking Blame, Solve, Way Striking, Inside Straight, Ready Intaglio and Ready Dancer completed the order of finish.
