Secret Circle Wins Breeders' Cup Sprint at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $1.5 million Breeders' Cup Sprint went down on a busy day of racing at Santa Anita Saturday, November 2. Street Circle who just returned from an 18 month layoff, earned a career best 104 Beyer Speed Figure in the six furlong test and became the leading candidate to win a division championship with his neck victory over the fast-closing Laugh Track. Gentlemen's Bet, who pressed the pace early from the rail and had the lead on the turn and in the stretch held for third, 1 1/4 lengths back. Majestic Stride was fourth followed by Justin Phillip, Bahamian Squall, Fast Bullet, Wine Police, defending champion Trinniberg, Private Zone, The Lumber Guy and Sum of the Parts.
