Spellbound Wins La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita Park

Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $200,000 Grade 2 La Canada Stakes Sunday, January 19. Richard Mandella trained Spellbound provided the surprise neck win at 16-1 odds while 14-1 shot Let Faith Arise finished second and Ondine a neck farther back in third. The co-favorites in the race Fiftyshadesofhay and Broken Sword were a disappointing fourth and fifth respectively at 6-5 odds. Rathbaun and Oscar Party to complete the order of finish.
