Frosted Wins Whitney Stakes at Saratoga Race Course

Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York played host to the $1.25 million Grade 1 Whitney Stakes on Saturday, August 6. An impressive group of horses three years old and upward went 1 1/8 miles on Saratoga's dirt track. 1-2 race favorite Frosted followed up his record breaking win in the Metropolitan Handicap with yet another impressive victory - this time by two lengths in the field of six. 7-1 third choice Comfort finished a decent second while Upstart got in for third at 10-1 odds. 4-1 second choice Effinex was a disappointing fourth while Noble Bird, and El Kabier completed the order of finish.
