Grand Arch Wins King Edward Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Las Vegas, NV - Woodbine turf in Toronto, Ontario was the scene of the $200,000 Grade 2 King Edward Stakes on Sunday, June 22. Consistent Grand Arch provided the upset by a half length as 11-1 sixth choice in the field of eight - for his first stakes win. 8-5 favorite Excaper was caught in the stretch but held on for second with Dixie Stakes runner-up Utley getting up for third. River Seven finished fourth, followed by Are You Kidding Me, Tesseron, Seekingthediamond, and Laugh Track.
