2012 Delaware Oaks Race Favorites

Grace Hall - Grace Hall enters the Oaks having won four races and finishing second twice in six career starts with one third place finish last time out as 5-2 favorite - the only losses being Grade 2 Davona Dale Stakes on February 25th, the Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies to eventual Eclipse Award winner Miss Aurelia and most recently the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks on May 4th. Her wins include Blue Hen Stakes at Delaware, an impressive win at the Grade 1 Spinaway at Saratoga and the Grade 2 Gulfstream Oaks Stakes on March 31st. Grace Hall is definitely the feature attraction at Delaware - it is her race to lose.

Via Villaggio - has 11 career starts and has placed in nine. Last time out was a decent third in the Grade 2 Hollywood Oaks to follow an impressive win in the Grade 3 Railbird here on May 18th in her cushion track debut. Her last two starts before that however resulted in fifth place finishes in the China Doll Stakes at Santa Anita in March and the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes on this track on May 5th. Before those results Via Villaggio won two straight - an Allowance race at Golden Gate on February 11th and a Maiden Special Weight win at Golden Gate on December 31st. Her win in the Railbird Via Villaggio and third in the Hollywood Oaks puts Via Villaggio on the Delaware Oaks radar.
