Las Vegas, NV -- The Grade 1 Vinery Madison Stakes comes our way this Thursday April 12th from Keeneland and it features fillies and mares four years old and upward. $300,000 is on the line for horses willing to go seven furlongs on Keeneland`s synthetic polytrack in race 8 on Keeneland`s Thursday card. A very strong field of 10 entries have been assembled for the Vinery Madison. Included is last year`s Eclipse Award winner for female sprinters, the top three finishers at the Grade 1 Santa Monica Stakes in January at Santa Anita and a few up-and-comers that could make a splash.

Musical Romance - Eclipse Award winner from last year will look to build on an impressive win last time out in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes at Gulfstream on March 17th after a disappointing fourth in the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint on January 28th. In 2011 Musical Romance won the Grade 2 Presque Isle Downs Masters Stakes, the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Fillies and Mare Sprint and finished second on this track in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes. Musical Romance won the Eclipse for a reason and is undoubtedly the horse to beat in the Vinery Madison.

Sweet Home Aspen - is coming off a disappointing fourth last time out in the Grade 3 Las Flores Stakes at Santa Anita on March 11th but before that had an impressive win at the Grade 1 Santa Monica Stakes at Santa Anita on January 28th - a win that followed up a disappointing fourth at the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita on December 31st. Stud jockey Joel Rosario will be back in Sweet Home Aspen's saddle just as he has been in all ten of her career starts. Sweet Home Aspen has four wins and three seconds in ten career races.

Remaining Field Entries

Sugarinthemorning - finished second last time out in the Grade 1 Santa Monica Stakes at Santa Anita on January 28th and before that finished second to Teddy's Promise in the La Brea Stakes. Sugarinthemorning is a dual stakes winner and has five wins, three seconds and a third in 13 career starts.

She's Cheeky - has fared well in her last three starts - a third in the Grade 3 Las Flores Stakes on March 11th, a third in the Grade 1 Santa Monica Stakes on January 28th and a second in the Grade 3 Rancho Bernardo Handicap at Del Mar on August 21st. In 24 career starts She's Cheeky has only three wins, seven seconds and eight third place finishes.

Whipsaw City - Chad Brown trained fill has won two straight races in her only starts in the US - an Allowance Optional Claiming on March 17th and an Allowance race on January 15th, both at Gulfstream over longer distances. Seven furlongs could benefit Whipsaw City!

La Reine Lionne - has raced well as of late - a third in the Grade 3 Honey Fox Stakes on March 18th, a second in the Grade 3 Marshua's River Stakes on January 7th and a win in a Starter Allowance race on December 16th all at longer distances.

Goupie Doll - has placed in nine of 11 career starts including a third at the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes on March 17th, a third in the Grade 3 Sabin Stakes on February 25th and a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming race on January 27th all at Gulfstream.

Future Generation - Irish-bred filly most recently finished fourth in the Grade 2 Honey Fox Stakes and won an Allowance race before that on February 15th in her North American debut. Future Generation is a group 2 winner in her native Ireland and has five wins and a second in 12 career starts.

Whisked Away - most recently won the Likely Exchange Stakes at Turfway Park on February 11th and before that had mixed results in a string of Allowance Optional Claiming races.

Ariana D - posted a win last time out in the Grade 3 Bessarabian Stakes at Woodbine and before that was third in the Ontario Fashion Stakes on the same track.
