Hendrie Stakes Race Favorites

Roxy Gap - is coming off an impressive win in the Grade 3 Whimsical Stakes on this track on April 22nd in a race that she beat Canadian champion female sprinter Atlantic Hurricane - hence being the favorite! Roxy Gap has nine career starts and has placed in all but one with five wins, a second and two third place finishes. Her regular rider and trainer have raved about Roxy Gap's recent developments - it should be interesting to see if she can put it all together again!

Atlantic Hurricane - is a Canadian champion female sprinter and is on a streak of eight wins and two third place finishes in her last eight starts! Among the wins are the Grade 3 Bessarabian Stakes and the Ontario Fashion Stakes. Most recently Atlantic Hurricane ran third in the Grade 3 Whimsical Stakes here on April 22nd - that race after a five month layoff. She is a champion for a reason and will be looking to get back on track this Saturday.

Remaining Field Entries

Dr. Diamond's Prize - is coming off an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Keeneland on April 6th after failing to place in her other two starts of 2012. She did finish fourth in October in the Grade 2 Raven Run Stakes against a tough field proving that she can run with quality opposition.

Kitty in a Tizzy - has failed to place in each of her last five starts dating back to September 2010 and is coming off a fourth place finish last time out in the Grade 3 Whimsical Stakes on this track on April 22nd. Kitty in a Tizzy has just two wins, two seconds and a third place finish in 15 career starts.
