Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Summer Stakes is on tap for this Saturday, September 15 from Woodbine in beautiful Toronto, Ontario. Two year olds will be after their share of the $250,000 purse when they race one mile on Woodbine's turf track.

The Summer Stakes, a "Win and Your In" qualifier for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf has attracted a field of eight for race 9 on Woodbine's Saturday card. Post time is 5:21 PM. Let's take a look at the eight entries and what brought them to this most important Grace 2 race.

2012 Summer Stakes Race Favorites

Archer Hill - won a Maiden Special Weight race by 11 1/4 lengths in his only career start at Saratoga on August 2 when he went the same distance as this race. Lisa Lewis trained Archer Hill is the son of Big Brown, who won two jewels in the Triple Crown in 2007. He is the morning line favorite.

I'm Boundtoscore - is the lone stakes winner in the field and enters having raced four times already in his career, placing in all. Last time out was a decent second in the Tyro Stakes at Monmouth on August 5 to follow that stakes win in the Chenery at Colonial Downs on July 21. His other results are a third in an Allowance and a Maiden Special Weight score in his debut at Keeneland on April 12.

Bear's Furr - has two career starts for trainer Reade Baker - a win in a Maiden Special Weight in his debut by 4 1/2 lengths and an OK third last time out in the Colin Stakes July 14. Both of his career starts have come on this track. He makes his turf debut in the Summer Stakes however.

Mercenary - broke maiden last time out here after a third in a Maiden Claiming to start his career here on August 5 and will also race for the first time on turf.

The B's and E's - started out his career with a third in a Maiden Special Weight here on May 21 and then went on to win a similar race at Saratoga on July 15 for trainer Wesley Ward.

Indiano Jones - had a poor debut - a seventh but bounced back last time out with a win in a Maiden Special Weight on August 19 on turf at this very track.

Are You Kidding Me - is one of two entries with four career starts under his belt. After a third and a sixth place finish to start his career, Are You Kidding Me has won his last two - a Maiden Special Weight on July 28 and an Allowance on August 25, both at Woodbine. He is a sneaky entry to the Summer and may be one to watch.

Best Play - finished second in his only career start - a Maiden Special Weight here on August 19.
