Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes comes our way this Sunday, February 10 from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale, Florida. Fillies and mares four years old and upward will be featured in this 6 1/2 furlong dash as they chase the winner's share of the $150,000 purse.

A field of 11 females will line up in the Hurricane Bertie - race 10 on Gulfstream's Sunday card. Post time is 5:05 PM. Here is a look at the past performances of all 11 combatants ahead of this Grade 3 stakes.

2013 Hurricane Bertie Stakes Race Favorites

Emma's Encore - won two minor races in February and March but then fell off a tad - a eighth place finish in the Grade 2 Gulfstream Oaks on March 31 was followed by a second place finish in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park on May 16. She rebounded from that unflattering spring stretch in a big way however recording victories in two straight - the Grade 3 Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont Park on July 7 at 38-1 odds and at the Grade 1 Prioress Stakes at Saratoga on August 4. Next were another couple of poor results - a sixth in the Grade 2 Gallant Bloom was followed by an eighth in the Grade 2 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland October 6. Last time out was a second behind Golden Mystery on this track January 19 in the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint.

R Holiday Mood - R Holiday Mood was scorching hot at the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012. She had five wins in eight career starts then including two starts at Gulfstream - last year`s Grade 3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes and the Ocala Stakes on January 8. R Holiday Mood was fourth in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes behind Musical Romance, Hot Summer and Groupie Doll here March 17 and then was forced out of action for 10 months. She returned January 19 to an OK third in the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint right behind Emma`s Encore.

Golden Mystery - is the best of the Marty Wolfson entries and has four second place finishes in her last seven starts including the Mike Sherman Memorial ahead of Nakano October 6, a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races in the summer, the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl Stakes on this track three back and at the Ocala Stakes here December 30. Last time out was a nice win in the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint over Emma`s Encore and R Holiday Mood here January 19. That win was supposed to be her last start before being sold but she will line up again this Sunday.

Spectacular Sky - had a three race win streak in the summer at Calder including the minor Barb`s Dancer Stakes and the Whippleton Stakes two back and looked very good before a disappointing sixth last time out in the Grade 2 Chilukki Stakes at Churchill Downs November 3. Having three wins in the last four starts has Spectacular Sky looking good for the Hurricane Bertie although her best results came against lesser competition.

Starship Truffles - races in graded stakes company for the first time Sunday but enters the Hurricane Bertie on a four race win streak - two Starter Allowance races, the Starter Stakes here December 1 and a Starter Optional Claiming by 5 3/4 lengths last time out on this track January 13. She has won eight of her last 10 starts but takes a huge step up in competition Sunday.

Nakano - graded stakes placed and stakes winner, Nakano placed in eight straight with two wins including the minor Connie Ann Stakes at Calder September 3, one second and five third place finishes before a fourth last time out in an Allowance race here January 27. Her thirds include the minor Minaret Stakes two back, the Grade 3 Sugar Swirl three back behind Golden Mystery, the minor Mike Sherman Memorial, the Barb's Dancer behind Spectacular Sky at Calder August 5 and the Grade 1 Princess Rooney Handicap July 7.

Applauding - has just three career starts and has won them all including an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out at Churchill Downs November 21 after nearly one year away. She is lightly raced but is an intriguing entry to the Hurricane Bertie.

Catch a Thief - multiple graded stakes placed and multiple stakes winner Catch a Thief had a very nice second place finish in the Bed o' Roses Stakes at Belmont on July 1 to follow a decent third in the Grade 3 Distaff Stakes at Pimlico and a win in the minor Plugged Nickel Stakes at Aqueduct. She followed that with a distant eighth in the Grade 2 Molly Pitcher at Monmouth back on July 29 and another eighth two back in the Grade 3 Turn back the Alarm Stakes at Belmont Park October 27. Last time out was an OK second in the minor Geisha Stakes at Laurel Park November 22.

Munnings Sister - makes her graded stakes debut Sunday after nine career starts yielded four wins and a third place finish. Her last two starts have been disappointing however - a ninth last time out in the minor Safely Kept Stakes at Laurel Park followed a sixth in the Imperial Gesture Stakes at Belmont Park October 24.

Who Is Camille - also makes her graded stakes debut Sunday after three wins and three seconds in 10 career starts. She had a pair of wins to start 2012 and followed that with a fifth in the French Village Stakes and a sixth in the Leave Me Alone Stakes - both coming at Calder. Last time out was an Allowance score here January 4.

Fantasy of Flight - Richard Dutrow filly had a very nice 9 3/4 length win in an Optional Claiming race in October after a less-than-impressive ninth in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill Downs way back in May. She was a pedestrian fifth in the Grade 2 Go for Wand Handicap at Aqueduct November 23 and followed that with an OK second last time out in an Allowance Optional Claiming race here January 12.
