2013 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap Race Favorites

Animal Kingdom - was one of the top horses on the planet in 2011 - a win in the Kentucky Derby, a second in the Preakness to Shackleford and a sixth in the Belmont certainly put the H. Graham Motion trainee on the map. He endured an eight month layoff after the Triple Crown and returned in February to a win in an Allowance Optional Claiming in his only start in the last 16 months and then went on to a nice second last time out Eclipse Award winning Wise Dan in the Breeders' Cup Mile. That makes four wins and four seconds in just nine career starts for Animal Kingdom. He will be looking for a good result ahead of the $10 million Dubai World Cup, next month and will be using the Gulfstream Turf as his tune up.

Point of Entry - is one of the premier grass horses in the nation and had won five straight races with relative ease heading into the Breeders' Cup Turf where he finished second to Little Mike. His recent wins include the Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic in September, the Grade 1 Sword Dancer, the Grade 1 Man o' War Stakes on July 14 and the Grade 2 Elkhorn on April 27. He makes his 2013 debut Saturday and will be looking to return to his very impressive winning ways.

Unbridled Command - has won five straight races ahead of the Gulfstream Park Handicap including the Grade 3 Saranac Stakes three back, the minor McMahon of Saratoga Mohawk Stakes two back by 6 3/4 lengths and the uber-competitive Grade 1 Hollywood Derby last time out - by far his most impressive career result. Unbridled Command is absolutely on fire and proved last time out that he can hang with the best.

Salto - had so-so career in Europe and in his North American debut finished fifth in the Grade 3 Commonwealth Turf Stakes at Churchill Downs in November. In 2012 Salto raced to a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming in July and after an eight month layoff, had a very good second as favorite in the Grade 3 Cliff Hanger ay Monmouth September 1 and an Allowance score by nine lengths October 13. His last two results were a fourth in the Grade 2 Fayette Stakes at Keeneland October 27 and a third last time out in the minor El Prado Stakes here December 22.

Film Making - will race in stakes company for the first time in the Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap after just one win, two seconds and five third place finishes in 17 career starts for trainer James Baker.

Where's the Baby - will make his stakes debut Saturday after 22 starts mostly in Allowance races yielded just three wins, five seconds and seven third place finishes. He won two back in an Allowance on dirt at Gulfstream but finished dead last January 5 in another Allowance here.
