2014 Monmouth Oaks Race Favorite Entries

Size - Bill Mott trained filly has four career starts and has been impressive in all - three wins and a second place finish. Last time out was a win at 13-1 odds in her graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Iowa Oaks June 28 after a second in her stakes debut - the minor Jersey Girl Stakes at Belmont Park in May and a two race win streak to start her career. Off a tremendous win, Size is expected to be one of the ones to catch again when she leaves from gate 7 with Junior Alvarado in the saddle.

Ria Antonia - won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies by DQ - quite an accomplishment any way you look at it, but followed that with a rather disappointing fourth behind Untapable in the Grade 3 Rachel Alexandra Stakes at Fair Grounds February 22. Last time out was a decent second behind Size in the Grade 2 Iowa Oaks June 28 after a last of 10 finish in the Preakness Stakes against the boys, a sixth in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks and a good second in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Oaks April 5. She hasn't won since the Breeders' Cup and has placed in just two of five starts since but hopes to snap a five race win streak fro Thomas Amoss. Jacob Radosevich gets the call from the rail.

Monmouth Oaks 2014 | Remaining Contenders

Cassatt - has just three career starts for trainer Larry Jones but hasn't been past six furlongs in two of the three. She has looked good in all however - two wins and a second place finish. Cassatt steps into stakes company for the first time riding a two race win streak - an Allowance last time out at Delaware Park followed a maiden win at Fair Grounds in January. She looks to keep the roll going as the uber-hyped filly goes with Kerwin Clark in the saddle from post 5.

Joint Return - John Servis trained filly raced in graded stakes company for the first time March 29 and had her worst career effort - a fifth in the Grade 2 Gulfstream but bounced back with a win in the minor Calder Oaks April 12. Last time out was a decent second in the Grade 2 Delaware Oaks July 5 after she returned to the winner`s circle in the minor Our Mims Stakes June 4 and finished troubled fourth in the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes May 16 at Pimlico. She also had a 4 1/2 length win in the minor Busher Stakes at Aqueduct February 1 after a pair of wins at Parx this past winter. She has won five of nine career starts with a second and a third place finish but will be looking to break through in graded stakes company for the first time Saturday. Kendrick Carmouche has the call from post 9.

Offlee Golden - will make her graded stakes debut Saturday for trainer Kathleen Demasi after eight career starts produced two wins, two seconds and two third place finishes. Last time out was a second in the minor Beautiful Day Stakes at Delaware Park July 3 after a third in the minor Jostle Stakes at Parx June 7 and a fifth in minor stakes action in April. She has been trending upward ahead of this weekend and will have John Bisono in the irons from post 8.
