Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes comes our way from a busy Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California this Saturday, September 27. Two year old fillies will take to Santa Anita's main track and race 1 1/16 miles in search of the winner's share of the $300,000 purse and an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies.

2014 Chandelier Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Conquest Eclipse - Mark Casse trained filly is coming off a good third in the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante August 30 after a MSW score at first asking at Churchill Downs in June. He leaves from post 2 Saturday with Corey Nakatani in the saddle as one of the ones to beat - 7-2 odds in her initial start on dirt.

Angela Renee - Todd Pletcher trained filly has three career starts - two graded stakes starts already. Last time out was a third as 8-5 favorite in the Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga August 31 after a second at 19-10 in the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes at Saratoga August 10 and a maiden score in June. She will have Rafael Bejarano aboard Saturday at 3-1 odds from gate 4.

Sunday Sonnet - Kelly Breen pupil has a win and two second place finishes in three career starts. Last time out was a second in the minor P.G. Johnson Stakes August 27 at Saratoga which followed a maiden score July 27 and a second in a MSW in her first start in June. Joe Talamo gets the call from the inside post at 6-1 odds.

Majestic Presence - will race for the third time for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer - the first time in stakes company. Last time out was a maiden score at Del Mar August 13 after a third in her debut in a similar race in July. Majestic Presence will be sent off at 6-1 odds from post 11 with Elvis Trujillo guiding her.

Maybellene - Bob Baffert trainee finally broke through and broke maiden last time out over Danette in her third career start which followed a sixth and a third respectively in similar races - all results at Del Mar. She departs from post 6 with Rosie Napravnik in the reins at 8-1 odds in Maybellene's first start on dirt.

Dad's Princess - James Cassidy trained filly is coming off an OK fourth in the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante August 30 in her second career start after a third in a MSW at Del Mar August 10. Mike Smith will be in charge as Dad's Princess leaves from post 10 at 8-1 odds.

Danette - Keith Desormeaux trainee has four career starts but has yet to start a stakes race. Last time out was a second in a MSW after a third, a fifth and a seventh respectively in MSW races in her first three starts. Danette goes off at 12-1 odds with Kent Desormeaux in the irons from post 3.

Sharla Rae - Doug O'Neill trained filly has won two of her three career starts - a MSW at first asking July 13 and the minor Barretts Debutante Stakes September 13. The only blemish came two back - a fourth in the Grade 2 Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar August 6. Sharla Rae goes off at 12-1 odds from post 5 with Drayden Van Dyke guiding her.

Manahatta - Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly raced to a sixth in the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante last time out August 20 after a maiden score at first asking August 10. He hopes to prove her substandard effort last time out was the exception, not the rule when Tyler Baze takes the reins from gate 8 at 12-1 odds.

Morning Coffee - will race for the fourth time for trainer Doug O'Neill off her only win - a maiden score at Los Alamitos September 14. Before that was a ninth in a MSW at Del Mar and a fourth in the minor Landulace Stakes in her first career start - on this track in June. Mario Gutierrez gets the call from post 7 at 20-1 odds.

Cruisingtheharbor - trainer Peter Miller sends out Cruisingtheharbor for his second career start - the first being a Maiden Claiming score at Del Mar August 30. She hits the track for the second time with Edwin Maldonado in the saddle from post 9 at 30-1 on the morning line.

Lutine Belle - the last of the Jerry Hollendorfer trained fillies has a win and a second place finish in two career starts - a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out followed a maiden score at first asking July 25. She leaves from the outside post as the longest shot in the field - 30-1 odds.
