Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 1 Ketel One King's Bishop Stakes is on tap for Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York on Saturday, August 23. Three year olds will take to Saratoga's main track and race seven furlongs in search of the winner's share of the $500,000 purse.

A field of eight three year olds sprinters will line up in the King's Bishop - race 10 on Saratoga's busy Saturday card. Post time is 4:33 PM. Let's take a peek into the past performances of all eight entries for the first of three Grade 1 Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday.

2014 King's Bishop Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Coup de Grace - will race for the eighth time for trainer Larry Jones having won three of his last four starts - The Grade 2 Amsterdam Stakes here July 26, the minor Oh Say Stakes at Delaware Park July 5 and a terrific win in the Grade 3 Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct in April - with a sixth in the Grade 2 Woody Stephens sandwiched in there. He also had a maiden win in his debut in November, an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream December 15 and a rather unsuccessful step up in competition where he finished tenth in the Grade 2 Holy Bull Stakes. He has been looking terrific the last four months and will have Rosie Napravnik in the irons from outside post as the 2-1 favorite.

Wildcat Red - has 10 career starts - five wins and three seconds and a third place finish - the lone off-the-board finish was an ugly eighteenth in the Kentucky Derby. Last time out was an OK third in the Grade 1 Haskell Invitational July 27 after he bounced back with a nice win in the minor Quality Road Stakes at Gulfstream June 28. Before the Derby was a good second in the Grade 1 Florida Derby which followed a very impressive win streak - in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth February 22 and in the Grade 3 Hutcheson Stakes February 1. Before that was a pair of seconds in minor stakes action - behind General A Rod in the Gulfstream Park Derby January 1 and in the Juvenile Sprint Stakes November 9. He started his career with a pair of wins as well. Wildcat Red will have Luis Saez guiding him as he cuts back in distance from gate 2 at 4-1 odds.

The Big Beast - Anthony Dutrow trained colt makes his stakes debut Saturday after four career starts yielded two wins and a second place finish. He enters on a two race win streak - an Allowance here July 26 and a maiden score at Belmont Park June 8. Javier Castellano gets the call aboard the 5-1 third choice from post 7.

Fast Anna - Katherine Rivto pupil makes just his third career start - his first two career starts were wins - an Allowance score July 6 and a maiden score at first asking in April - both results at Gulfstream Park. The legendary John Velazquez rides from post 6 at 6-1 odds.

C. Zee - Nick Zito trained colt has hit the board in nine of 10 career starts - the only off-the-board finish came February 22 in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth. Before that he finished second in the Grade 3 Hutcheson Stakes at Gulfstream and second in his stakes debut - the minor Spectacular Bid Stakes in January. He has two wins and two thirds since - a second last time out behind Coup de Grace in the Grade 2 Amsterdam Stakes here July 26 followed a win in the minor Cherokee Run Stakes July 5, a third in the minor Unbridled Stakes May 31, a win in the minor Sir Bear Stakes May 3 and a third in the minor Ocala Breeders' Sales Sophomore Stakes in April. He has been competitive every time out and will have Joel Rosario in the saddle from the rail at an intriguing 10-1 odds.

Myositis Dan - trainer Tom Proctor sends out Myositis Dan off an Allowance score at Arlington July 12 and a third in his only graded stakes race - the Grade 3 Derby Trial Stakes in April. He has nine career starts with three wins, two seconds and two third place finishes and has won two of his last three starts. Jose Lezcano gets the call from post 3 at 12-1 odds.

Noble Moon - was last seen running sixth in the Grade 1 Wood Memorial Stakes in April which followed a win in the Grade 2 Jerome Stakes at Aqueduct January 4 and a third behind Cairo Prince after getting bumped at the start in the one mile Grade 2 Nashua Stakes here November 3. His debut was a 6 furlong MSW score by three quarters of a length in his debut at Belmont Park September 14. Noble Moon has two wins and a third place finish in four career starts and looks to rebound from a career worst effort almost five months ago. Irad Ortiz has the mount from post 5 at a rather surprising 15-1 odds.

Noble Cornerstone - has seven career starts for trainer Thomas Morley with three wins and two second place finishes. He enters on a two race win streak - an Allowance Optional Claiming here July 25 and an Allowance June 19. He has two graded stakes starts with poor results - a ninth in the Grade 3 Gotham Stakes in March followed a seventh in the Grade 3 Sam F. Davis Stakes in February. Noble Cornerstone is the longest shot in the field and will line up in gate 4 with Jose Ortiz in the saddle.
