Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Seabiscuit Handicap comes our way from Del Mar Race Track in Del Mar, California on Black Friday, November 29. Horses three years old and upward will be after the winner's share of the $250,000 when they take to Del Mar's turf track and race 1 1/16 miles.

2015 Seabiscuit Handicap Race Favorites

Alert Bay - has eight wins in his last 11 starts for trainer Blaine Wright - a five race win streak last year - all stakes wins (3 graded stakes) on the west coast were halted by an OK stretch early this summer. He enters on a three race win streak - an Allowance at Golden Gate last time out November 6, the Grade 2 City of Hope Stakes in gate-to-wire fashion September 27 and the minor Rolling Green Stakes September 7. Alert Bay has been impressive indeed and is expected to be again Friday. Mario Gutierrez has been tabbed to ride from gate 8.

Avanzare - Multiple Graded Stakes winning Thomas Proctor trained gelding has seven wins, three seconds and three third place finishes in 14 career starts. He won the Grade 3 Arcadia Stakes in January and was forced to the sideline for seven months. He returned August 23 and win the Del Mar Mile and was most recently third in the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile at Santa Anita September 27. Avanzare has placed in his last six starts overall and is expected to be competitive again Friday. Drayden Van Dyke rides for post 5.

Bal a Bali - Brazilian Triple Crown winning Richard Mandella trainee has an impressive 13 wins and a third place finish in 16 career starts. He won his last eight races at home before debuting in North America with a nice win in the Grade 3 American Stakes at Santa Anita in May. He went on to a pair of disappointing fifth place finishes - the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile at Santa Anita in June and the Grade 2 Del Mar Mile in August. Last time out he returned to the winner's circle in an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track October 30. Bal a Bali has been just OK lately and hopes for his first graded stakes win since May when he leaves from post 3 with Rafael Bejarano in the irons.

Seek Again - Bill Mott trained multiple graded stakes winner will be after his first win in top company since the Grade 2 Fourstardave Handicap in August, 2014. He enters off a fourth place finish in the Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile at Keeneland October 3 after three straight third place finishes - the 2015 Fourstardave Handicap in August, the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile in June and the Grade 1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic in May. He has 17 career starts with five wins, three seconds and four third place finishes and will be out to snap a six race losing streak from gate 4 with Jose Lezcano in the reins.

Abbey Vale - Irish bred Phil D'Amato trained gelding has just three wins in 21 career starts to go along with four seconds and three third place finishes. He looks for his first stakes score off a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming October 22 after thirds in the minor King Pellinor Stakes in September and the Grade 3 Last Tycoon Stakes in April. Abbey Vale will be after his first stakes score from gate 6. Santiago Gonzalez has been tabbed to ride.

Big Bane Theory - won the Grade 2 City of Hope Mile at Santa Anita October 4, 2014 but hasn't been great since. Last time out was a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming here October 30 after a seventh in the Grade 2 City of Hope Stakes September 27 and off-the-board finishes in five straight stakes appearances. Big Bane Theory hopes to snap an ugly skid from the outside post 9 Friday with James Graham in the reins.

Macro Access - Argentinean trained Paulo Lobo trained mare has just seven career starts with three wins. He had two wins at home including a Group 2 stakes in August, 2014 but he failed to place in his next three starts including his first two in North America. Last time out was a good win however - in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita October 12. Macro Access hopes to build on a good effort last time out when he leaves from the rail with Tyler Baze in the saddle.

Toowindytohaulrox - Phil D'Amato trained colt has placed in four of his last five starts ahead of Friday's race. Last time out was a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming here November 12 after a third in his only graded stakes action - the Grade 3 Eddie D Stakes in October, and Allowance Optional Claiming score here in August and another Allowance Optional Claiming in May. Toowindytohaulrox hopes for his first stakes win from gate 2 with Tiago Josue Pereira guiding him.

Midnight Storm - won the Grade 2 Del Mar Derby in August, 2014 for trainer Phil D'Amato and had a second in the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile in June but hasn't been the same since. Last time out was a sixth in the Grade 3 Eddie D Stakes October 3 after a tenth in the Grade 1 Pacific Classic at Del Mar in August and a fifth in the Grade 1 Eddie Read Stakes in July. Midnight Storm has four wins and three seconds in 12 career starts and enters in less-than-spectacular form. Victor Espinoza gets the call from post 7.
