Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California will be the scene of the Grade 3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes on Saturday, February 7 - a Road to the Kentucky Derby qualifier. A group of three year olds will take to Santa Anita's dirt track and race 1 1/16 miles for a $200,000 purse and 10 qualifying points toward the Derby in May.

A field of just six will give it a go in the Robert B. Lewis - race 5 on Santa Anita's Saturday card. Post time is 2:30 PM. Let's take a peek into the past performances of all six entries for this Grade 3 stakes - an important prep for the $1 million Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby April 4.

2015 Robert B. Lewis Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Dortmund - an early favorite for this year's Kentucky Derby will try to remain perfect in his career for trainer Bob Baffert - three career starts so far and three wins. He made his stakes debut last time out and posted a good win in the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Futurity after an Allowance Optional Claiming score by 7 3/4 lengths at Churchill Downs November 29 and a 4 3/4 length maiden score in his debut - at Santa Anita November 2. He leaves from the outside post Saturday with Martin Garcia in the saddle of the 123 pound highweight looking to keep the impressive run going.

Firing Line - Simon Callahan trained colt made his stakes debut December 20 and finished a close second behind Dortmund in the Grade 1 Los Alamito Futurity after a 6 1/2 furlong maiden score by 4 1/4 lengths in his second career start - at Del Mar November 30. His debut was a second in a similar race - that one at Santa Anita October 25. Gary Stevens has been tabbed to ride from gate 5 Saturday.

Rock Shandy - will race for the fifth time for trainer Peter Miller. He broke maiden three back in his second career start - at Del Mar November 7 and has looked good in two graded stakes starts since - a respectable third in his graded stakes debut - the Grade 3 Cecil B. DeMille Stakes at Del Mar November 30 was followed by a nice second to stablemate Calculator in the Grade 3 Sham Stakes in his first try on dirt - on this track January 10. He will have Victor Espinoza guiding him Saturday from post 2.

Hero Ten All - Jeff Mullins trained colt has just three career starts with a win and a second place finish. He broke maiden two back at Los Alamitos December 7 after a second to Grade 1 winner Dortmund in his debut on this track in November. Last time out was a disappointing sixth in the Grade 3 Sham Stakes on this track January 10. He lines up in post 4 with Tyler Baze aboard looking for his first stakes win.

Tizcano - Peter Miller trained colt has five career starts with two wins and a third place finish. Last time out was a fifth in the minor Spectacular Bid Stakes at Gulfstream January 3 after an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Del Mar November 21 and a third in the minor Juvenile Turf Sprint here November 1. He makes his graded stakes debut in so-so form with Martin Pedroza aboard from the rail.

Sebastian's Heart - George Papaprodromou trained colt has a win and a second in five career starts. He finished a respectable second in his stakes debut three back - the minor Speakeasy Stakes here November 13 but has failed to place in two starts since. Last time out was an eighth in the Grade 3 Cecil B. DeMille Stakes at Del Mar November 30 after a fourth in the Grade 3 Bob Hope Stakes at Del Mar November 15. He looks for his first stakes score Saturday from post 3 with Agapito Delgadillo guiding him from post 3.
