2015 Endeavour Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Hard Not to Like - hasn't been seen since winning the Grade 1 Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland in April which followed an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Gulfstream in February, a disappointing seventh in the Grade 1 Juddmonte Spinster Stakes in October, 2013 and a third in the Grade 3 Ballston Spa two months earlier. Another career highlight was a win in the Grade 3 Marshua's River Stakes at Gulfstream January 5, 2013. She has certainly been up and down in her career and hits the track for the first time in nine months Saturday. It's pretty tough to know what to expect this week but has been good in the past off long layoffs. The legendary John Velazquez has the call from gate 11 hoping to bring the best out of Hard Not to Like.

I'm Already Sexy - Wayne Catalano trained filly has 18 career starts already with 8 wins and a second place finish. She has nine graded stakes starts with two wins - the 2013 Grade 3 Pucker Up Stakes and the 2014 Grade 3 Modesty Handicap to go along with a nice win in the minor Kentucky Downs Ladies Turf Stakes which came in September. Since that race she has failed to place in two starts - a fourth last time out in the Grade 3 Cardinal Handicap followed a fifth in the Grade 2 Goldikova Stakes on this track November 2. I' Already Sexy has certainly been competitive at times and looks to get back on track Saturday. Miguel Mena has the call from post 6.

Rosalind - Kenneth McPeek trained filly has placed in six of 11 career starts but hasn't been great lately - a tenth last time out in the Pin Oak Valley View Stakes in October followed a ninth in the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational and a DNF in a Stakes in Britain. She did win the Grade 1 Ashland Stakes in April, 2014 and did record a third after rallying from 16 lengths back in the 2013 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, a second in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades at Keeneland October 4, 2013 but has really struggled lately. She hopes to right the ship from post 2 with Leandro Goncalves in the irons from post 2.

Endeavour Stakes 2015 | Remaining Contenders

Testa Rossi - multiple graded stakes winning French bred Chad Brown trained filly has five starts in North America and had good results to start - the best being a win over Istanford in the Grade 3 Florida Oaks March 8. This after a come from behind win in the 2013 Grade 3 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont Park October 6 and a good second in the 2013 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf. Since her two wins and a second in her first three starts in North America Testa Rossi has fallen off - a seventh last time out as favorite in the Grade 2 Mrs. Revere Stakes November 15 followed a fourth in the Grade 1 Ashland Stakes in April. Before shipping she had three straight wins at home. Testa Rossi now has five wins and two second place finishes in 10 career starts but has failed to place in her last two starts overall. She looks for a strong bounce back with Irad Ortiz aboard from the rail.

Medea - Irish bred Francis Abbott trained mare has 14 career starts with four wins, four seconds and three third place finishes. She won her graded stakes debut in June - the Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes at Monmouth Park and struggled after that- an eighth in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel in September followed a seventh in the Grade 3 Matchmaker Stakes in July. Medea bounced back most recently with a win in the minor Lady Baltimore Stakes at Laurel Park September 27. She makes her first start in four months in typically inconsistent form from post 7 with Forest Boyce guiding her.

Naughty Holiday - makes her graded stakes debut Saturday off a distant twelfth in the minor Tropical Park Oaks at Gulfstream and an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Gulfstream Park West in November. She won the minor OBS Championship Stakes at Ocala Training Center a year ago and has three wins, two seconds and a third place finish in 10 career starts. Julien Leparoux has been tabbed to ride from post 3.

Rock On Baby - makes her graded stakes debut Saturday after 19 career starts produced four wins, three seconds and two third place finishes. Last time out was an OK fourth in the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf January 17 after a second in the minor Tiata Stakes in December and a full year away from racing. She looks for her first stakes win in her third race in 14 months when she leaves from gate 8 with Edgard Zayas guiding in the reins.

Why Katherine - Kevin Attard trained mare had a string of runner-up finishes in the summer of 2013 including the Grade 3 Royal North Stakes and placed in her first five starts of 2014 - seconds in the minor Zadacarta Stakes and the Grade 2 Nassau Stakes at Woodbine and an Allowance Optional Claiming score on this track being the best results. She failed to place in her next three starts overall before a third last time out in the Grade 3 Marshua's River Stakes at Gulfstream January 10. She has 23 career starts with four wins, six seconds and three third place finishes and will hope to get back to her early 2014 form. Why Katherine tries for her first graded stakes win from post 13 with Daniel Centeno in the reins.

Save the Park - steps into graded stakes company for the first time Saturday off a fourth in her stakes debut - the minor Tropical Park Oaks at Gulfstream Park December 20. Before that were three straight wins at Woodbine including an Allowance Optional Claiming in November and an Allowance in October. She steps up in a major way with Antonio Gallardo guiding her from gate 4.

Principessa Ava - Irish bred Jonathan Shepperd trainee has 10 career starts with three wins, a second and two third place finishes but steps into stakes company for the first time Saturday. She enters in OK form - an Allowance Optional Claiming score last time out at Gulfstream Park followed a second in a similar race in November at Aqueduct. Gabriel Saez has the call as Principessa Ava looks to make a splash from post 5.

Julie's Love - H Graham Motion trained mare was OK in 2014 - a fifth last time out in the Grade 3 La Prevoyante Stakes at Gulfstream followed a good third in the Grade 3 Maple Leaf Stakes at Woodbine, a tenth in the Grade 3 Athenia Stakes at Belmont Park in October, an OK third in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel Stakes September 13 and a fifth in the minor Powder Break Stakes at Gulfstream in April. Her 2013 campaign was highlighted by a second in the Grade 2 Dance Smartly Stakes at Woodbine July 7. Julie's Love has 29 career starts with five wins, eight seconds and six third place finishes but looks for her first win since May, 2013 - in the minor Owsley Stakes at Belmont Park. Rajiv Maragh has the call from post 9.

Maria Maria - James DiVito trained filly has 17 career starts with four wins, two seconds and four third place finishes. She enters off an Optional Claiming score on this track December 27 which followed a fifth in an Allowance race at Keeneland in October and a reasonable third in the Grade 3 Pucker Up Stakes at Arlington in September. Maria Maria looks for her first stakes score Saturday from post 10 with Christopher Emigh in the irons.

Lots o' Lex - has just five career starts for trainer Gerald Aschinger with two wins, a second and a third place finish. She races in stakes company for the first time off an Allowance score January 10, a second in a similar race December 21 and a maiden score December 5 in her third career start - all results on this track. Lots o' Lex obviously has an affinity for this track but will likely be in tough against a decent field. Rosemary Homeister Jr. will be in the saddle from post 12.

Tokyo Time - Shug McGaughey trained mare has 12 career starts with three wins and three second place finishes. She enters off a distant ninth in the minor South Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park in December, a fifth in the Grade 3 Noble Damsel at Belmont Park in September, an Allowance Optional Claiming score in August and another Allowance score in June. She looks to place in stakes company for the first time from the outside post with Gary Boulanger aboard.
