Las Vegas, NV - Laurel Park in the great state of Maryland will play host to the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap on Saturday, February 13. Fillies and mares four years old and upward will be featured when they take to Laurel Park's dirt track and race seven furlong for the winner's share of the $300,000 purse.

Hot City Girl - made her graded stakes debut July 27 and finished fifth in the Grade 1 Mother Goose Stakes for trainer Linda Rice. Before that was seven career starts with two wins and two second place finishes. She has found her groove lately and enters on the heels of a good second in the Grade 1 La Brea Stakes at Santa Anita December 26. That followed a three race win streak - the $100,000 minor Safely Kept Stakes by an impressive 8 1/4 lengths at Laurel Park November 13, an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park October 29 and a career defining score by 2 1/2 lengths in the Grade 3 Charles Town Oaks in September. Hot City Girl has been as Hot as they come and hopes to continue that trend from post 3 Saturday with Jose Ortiz in the irons.

Lady Sabelia - defending champion in this race, Robin Graham trained mare has an impressive 10 wins, three seconds and three third place finishes in 18 career starts. She enters on the heels of a two race win streak - the minor Willa On the Move Stakes by 1 3/4 lengths here December 5 and the minor Pumpkin Pie Stakes by 7 1/4 lengths in November. Before that was a second in the minor Skipat Stakes May 15, a disappointing sixth in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes April 4 and a four race win streak including last year's version of this race. Lady Sabelia has been as competitive every time out and shoots for her third straight stakes score and eighth win in 13 starts on this track - from post 5. Horacio Karamanos gets the call.

Princess Violet - Michael Hushion trained mare finished second in this race last year and went on to a good win in the Grade 1 Madison Stakes at Keeneland in April and another second in the Grade 2 Ruffian Stakes at Belmont Park in May. She has been a tad disappointing in three starts since - a fourth last time out in the minor Interborough Stakes at Aqueduct January 9 followed a second in the minor Garland of Roses Stakes December 5 and a fifth in the Grade 1 Ogden Phipps Stakes in June. Princess Violet now has five wins and six seconds in 14 career starts and hopes to get back to the form she had a year ago. Trevor McCarthy rides from gate 4.

Dancing House - has placed in nine of 10 career starts for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin - four wins, two seconds and three third place finishes. Last time out was a runner-up finish behind the great La Verdad in the minor Interborough Stakes at Aqueduct January 9 which followed nine months away from the track and two straight Allowance Optional Claiming scores at this time last year. She had third place finishes in her other three career stakes tries including two graded stakes races in 2013. Dancing House looks for her first stakes score in her second start in 10 months when she leaves from gate 6 with Kendrick Carmouche guiding her.

Clothes Fall Off - has placed in eight of nine career starts for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin - three wins and five runner-up finishes. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score in track record time at Aqueduct January 14 after consecutive seconds - an Allowance Optional Claiming December 17 and the minor Fort Spring Stakes at Keeneland October 31 and an Allowance score October 4. She has just one graded stakes start - a seventh in the Grade 2 Prioress Stakes in September but heads into this week in very good form. Clothes Falls Off chases her first stakes win Saturday from gate 2 with Jevian Toledo aboard.

Wonder Gal - Leah Gyarmati trained filly has two wins, two seconds and five third place finishes in 11 career starts. Last time out was a third in the Ladies Handicap at Aqueduct January 10 after another third in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes November 28, a good win in the minor Empire Distaff Handicap in October, an uncharacteristic eighth in the Grade 1 Test Stakes and a second in the Grade 2 Mother Goose Stakes in June. She also had a third in the 2014 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, a second in the 2014 Grade 1 Frizette Stakes and a third in the 2015 Grade 1 Acorn Stakes. Wonder Gal has been in there with some top field and has fared well. She looks for her first graded stakes score however - from the outside post 7 with Irad Ortiz in the reins.

Sweet On Smokey - Claudio Gonzalez trained filly has seven wins, four seconds and four third place finishes in 23 career starts and enters having placed in her last six starts overall. Last time out was a win in the minor What A Summer Stakes January 2 after an Allowance Optional Claiming score December 20, a second and a third respectively in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races and a Claiming score in October - all results on this track. She has one graded stakes start under her belt - a ninth in the Grade 3 Bourbonette Oaks last March but tries graded stakes company again in career-best form. Sweet On Smokey looks for her third straight win and leaves from the rail with Victor Carrasco in the saddle.
