OTB's Responsible Gambling Commitment
Betting on Horse Racing at OffTrackBetting.com (OTB) is supposed to be a fun and recreational pastime, but we realize that for some it can become a problem that adversely affects their lives and the lives of those around them.
While we pride ourselves on offering a service that is accessible to our members from the comfort of their own home, unfortunately our service has the potential to be abused. And, like so many other activities, when betting on horse racing becomes compulsive and unmanaged, it becomes a problem.
OTB takes very seriously our responsibility to provide a gambling service in a socially responsible way. Here is how we promote responsible gambling:
Minimum Age Requirement
Betting on horse racing is a form of adult entertainment and it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to play on our site. All of our members must be 21 or older and we reserve the right to ask for verification documents from any member and may deactivate any account until such proof is received. Anyone under the age of 21 that is found to be gambling on our site will have all winnings forfeited.
To implement this policy, OTB has a contract with a national, independent, individual reference service company that performs a comprehensive identity and age verification before any wagering account application is accepted or activated. This verification system ensures that only individuals deemed of legal age under any law that applies to your state of residence, are able to open a personal wagering account.
All of our members must be 21 or older and we reserve the right to ask for verification documents from any member and may deactivate any account until such proof is received. Anyone under the age of 21 that is found to be gambling on our site will have all winnings forfeited.
To prevent underage access we recommend the Internet's most trusted parental control filtering sites:
It's easy for unmanaged gambling to become problem gambling. We have the ability to block a member's access to the betting area if they have a gambling problem. If you think you have a problem we urge you to view the "Twenty Questions" on the Gamblers Anonymous website. The few minutes it takes could be the warning sign you need. Simply notify us and we will block access to your account.
Voluntary Self Exclusion
To voluntarily self-exclude from wagering with OffTrackBetting.com, please complete the Voluntary Self-Exclusion Form, and return to us via email at support@OffTrackBetting.com.
The form must be signed by the individual requesting self-exclusion, notarized and returned with a copy of the account holder's photo ID.
Voluntary Wager Limits
To voluntarily self-limit wagering with OffTrackBetting.com per day or per week, simply email us your requested limits. OTB can set daily or weekly wager amount limits as well as limits on credit/debit card funding at the account level.
Any request to increase or remove previously requested limits will require a 7-day waiting period before OTB will grant such a request.
If you believe you or someone you know may have a gambling problem, there are always people who understand your issue and help is always available. Below are just a few organizations you have access to that can provide insight and help.
Both of these non-profit organizations are in no way affiliated with OffTrackBetting.com.
We work closely with the North Dakota Racing and Gaming Commission to ensure that we exceed standards of best practice in regards to responsible gambling.
Lastly, if you have any queries about these policies or our stance on responsible gambling, don't hesitate to contact us via phone at 1-855-941-1010 or email at support@OffTrackBetting.com.
