The $400,000 G1 Man o' War Stakes was run Saturday, May 13 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York - a 1 3/8 mile turf race for horses four years old and upward. John Murrell's Irish bred mare and 4-5 race favorite Zhukova destroyed her male competition in the race - emerging by an impressive six lengths on a sloppy track in her North American debut. 10-1 shot Taghleeb finished second in the field that was trimmed to just five with 7-2 third choice Sadler's Joy claiming third. Charming Kitten and 5-2 second choice Wake Forest completed the order of finish. Patterson Cross, Twilight Eclipse, and Highland Sky were scratched.
