The Pizza Man Wins Hollywood Turf Cup at Del Mar

Las Vegas, NV - The $250,000 Grade 2 Hollywood Turf Cup Stakes was contested at Del Mar on Thanksgiving Day Thursday, November 26 - a 1 1/2 mile test for older horses. Even money favorite The Pizza Man did what most expected and dominated the full field of 14 and prevailed by a relatively easy two lengths. Second choice Big John B finished second with 50-1 shot Power Foot getting in for a good third place finish. Power Ped held on for fourth while Quick Casablanca (CHI), Wanstead Gardens, Southern Freedom, Texas Ryano, Up With the Birds, Class Leader, Danas Best (AUS), Generoso (URU), Ganesh (BRZ) and Procurement completed the order of finish.
