Stellar Wind Wins Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar

The $300,000 G1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes was run Sunday, July 30 at Del Mar racetrack in Del Mar California. Fillies and mares three years old and upward took to Del Mar's dirt track and raced 1 1/8 miles. It was Hronis Racing's 1-2 race favorite Stellar Wind that replicated her performance from last time out in the G1 Beholder Mile and caught 2-1 second choice Vale Dori at the end to win by just a neck. Vale Dori settled for second once again in the field that was trimmed to just five while Faithfully came in third at 6-1 odds. Motown Lady and Autumn Flower completed the order of finish - Shenandoah Queen scratched.
