Touching Promise Wins Ballerina Stakes at Hastings Racecourse

Las Vegas, NV - The $100,000 Grade 3 Ballerina Stakes was contested at Hastings Racecourse in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia on Monday, October 12 - a 1 1/8 mile dirt test for fillies and mares three years old and upward. Russell J. and Lois Bennett's homebred Touching Promise posted the relatively easy repeat win in this race as 7-2 second betting choice. Third choice Locket finished 4 1/2 lengths back in second with 2-1 favorite Lady Rosberg claiming third. Lady Rosberg was retired after the race. Amber Moon finished fourth followed by Rather Beautiful, Dear Lilly, Ambleside Park and Madame Pele.
