Ashland Stakes at Keeneland Results
Las Vegas, NV - Keeneland hosted the $500,000 Grade 1 Ashland Stakes for three year old fillies Saturday. It was Emollient who finished a staggering 30 lengths behind Dreaming of Julia in last week's Gulfstream Park Oaks that recorded the victory by a relatively easy nine lengths over the field of 12 others - at 6-1 odds. The victory ensures Emollient a place in next month's Kentucky Oaks. Irish-bred Tuttipaesi, winner of this year's Ginger Brew Stakes at Gulfstream Park, finished second at 9-2 odds followed by Grade 3 winner Kitten's Point in third. Spring in the Air, who captured the Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland last fall, challenged in fourth early but faded to ninth as the 4-1 favorite.
