Renown Wins Sycamore Stakes at Keeneland

The $100,000 G3 Sycamore Stakes was contested Thursday, October 20 at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. Horses three years old and upward were featured when they took to Keeneland's turf track and raced 1 1/2 miles. It was Merriebelle Stable LLC's 9-1 shot Renown that proved best on the day, upsetting the field by just a nose on a rainy day in Kentucky. Bigger Picture finished second at 6-1 odds in the field of 12, a half length ahead of third place Bullards Alley who was sent off at 8-1 odds. 9-2 second choice Street Fashion finished another four lengths back in fourth while One Go All Go, Postulation, Up With the Birds, Generous Kitten, Behesht, Fixador, 4-1 favorite Greengrassofyoming and Wild About You completed the order of finish. Camp Creek, Cartoon and Nessy scratched.
