Sweet Loretta Wins Beaumont Stakes at Keeneland Racecourse

Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky was the scene of the $150,000 G3 Beaumont Stakes on Sunday, April 9. Three year old fillies were featured when they took to Keeneland's dirt track and raced about seven furlongs. St. Elias Stable's grade 1 winner and 6-5 race favorite Sweet Loretta bounced back from a disappointing off-the-board finish in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and posted the easy three length win. The co-longest shots in the field - 16-1 Sine Wave and Laney finished second and third respectively in the field of seven. Promises Broken finished fourth with My Miss Chiff, Dancing Rags and Treble completing the order of finish.
