2015 Lake George Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Feathered - Todd Pletcher trained filly has nine career starts with two wins, three seconds and a third place finish. She enters off a good second behind Spanish Queen in the Grade 1 American Oaks May 30 on Santa Anita turf after a career best effort - a gate-to-wire win in the Grade 3 Edgewood Stakes at this distance at Churchill Downs May 1 in her first start on turf. Those results followed an ugly seventh in the Grade 3 Fantasy Stakes April 4, a fourth in an Allowance in March and a second behind champion Take Charge Brandi in the Grade 1 Starlet Stakes at Los Alamitos in December. She also had a respectable fourth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. Feathered has placed in her last two starts overall after a brief slump and hopes to continue the upward trend from gate 10 with Luis Saez in the reins of the top weight and lone graded stakes winner in the field.

Lady Zuzu - has a win, a second and three third place finishes in nine career starts for trainer D Wayne Lukas but enters off a career worst effort - a twelfth in the Grade 1 Belmont Oaks Invitational after setting a furious pace and fading July 4. Before that was a decent second in the Grade 3 Regret Stakes at Churchill Downs May 13 and a pair of thirds in stakes action - the minor Hilltop Stakes May 15 and the Grade 3 Edgewood Stakes May 1. Lady Zuzu looked good before last time out and will be looking for a strong bounce back Friday. Corey Lanerie has been tabbed to ride from gate 8.

Partisan Politics - posted a nice win in her second career start - the $100k PG Johnson Stakes at Saratoga August 27. This after a third in her debut in July. She has been a tad up and down since - a decent second last time out to Celestine in the minor Wild Applause Stakes at Belmont Park June 14 followed a sixth in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies and a fourth in the Grade 3 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont Park in September. Partisan Politics has been good at time in her career - not so good at others. Jockey Javier Castellano has been tabbed with getting a little consistency from this Chad Brown trained filly - from the outside post Friday.

Celestine - Bill Mott trained filly has four wins and a second place finish in seven career starts (four wins and a second in five career turf starts) and enters off four straight impressive wins - the last three coming in minor stakes company. Last time out was a win in the Wild Applause Stakes June 14 after wins in the Wait a While Stakes in May (both results at Belmont Park) and the Sanibel Island Stakes in March at Gulfstream. Celestine makes her graded stakes debut on fire and will have Junior Alvarado guiding her from the rail.

Mrs McDougal - has two wins in four career starts for trainer Chad Brown and fourth place finishes in her other two - a maiden score at first asking and an Allowance out by an impressive 7 1/4 lengths at Aqueduct April 24. She stepped into stakes company for the first time last time out and finished fourth in the Grade 1 American Oaks at Santa Anita and hopes for a breakthrough this week. Irad Ortiz will be in charge as Mrs McDougal looks to make a little noise in stakes company from post 9.

All in Fun has looked OK so far in her career but takes a major step up in competition Friday. Joel Rosario has the mount from post 5.

Jellicle Ball - Graham Motion Irish bred filly makes her North American debut Friday after six starts at home yielded a win, a second and a third place finish. She posted a stakes win at home last August and went on to a third in a Group 3 stakes August 23 before shipping to North America. She has three starts states-side and has failed to place in all.
