Sassicaia Wins Toboggan Stakes at Aqueduct Racetrack

Las Vegas, NV - The $150,000 Grade 3 Toboggan Stakes finally went down at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York on Saturday, January 30 - a six furlong dash for horses four years old and upward. 6-1 third choice Sassicaia emerged victorious in the 10 horse field in just his second career start - by a neck over 46-1 longshot Mewannarose who finished second and even money favorite Green Gatto who wound up third. Fabulous Kid came fourth and was followed by Heaven's Runway, Alex the Terror, 5-2 second choice Dads Caps, Sam Sparkle and Sir Rockport. Captain Serious stumbled and jockey Aaron Gryder was unseated near the rail - they recorded a DNF in the race.
