Spartiatis Wins Tom Fool Handicap at Aqueduct Racetrack

Aqueduct in South Ozone Park, New York played host to the $200,000 G3 Tom Fool Handicap on Saturday, March 11 - a six furlong dash for horses four years old and upward on Aqueduct's Inner track. 7-year-old gelding Spartiatis recorded his first ever G1 score Saturday - by two lenghts at 5-1 odds in the field of eight. Pacesetter and 4-1 third choice Chief Lion finished second with 17-1 shot King Kranz getting in for third. 2-1 favorite Sassicaia was fourth while Sir Rockport, All Star Red, 3-1 second choice Green Gratto and The Great War completed the order of finish.
