Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 New York Stakes was contested at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York on Saturday, June 28. 6-5 favorite Riposte followed up an impressive win in the Grade 2 Sheepshead Bay Stakes with a 1 1/4 length score in the 1 1/4 mile test, with 3-2 second choice Tannery finishing second. 14-1 shot Viva Rafaela was a good third while Scampering, Gathering, and Inimitable Romanee completed the order of finish.
