Force the Pass Wins Belmont Derby Invitational at Belmont Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $1.25 million Grade 1 Belmont Derby Invitational took place on Saturday, July 4 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. Richard Santulli's Force the Pass delivered the performance of his life and prevailed b a relatively easy 3 3/4 lengths at 10-1 odds. Euro invader Cannadal finished second at 9-1 odds with 13-1 shot Startup Nation getting in for third. Completing the order of finish were Closing Bell, Takeover Target, Postulation, Divisidero, Granny's Kitten, and 2-1 favorite Bolo who was pulled up after the wire.
