The $1.25 million Grade 1 Mohegan Sun Metropolitan Handicap was contested Saturday, June 11 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York - a one mile dirt test for horses three years old and upward. In his first 2016 U.S. start after opening the season in Dubai, 2-1 favorite Frosted looked sensational in winning by an eye-popping 14 1/4 lengths in record time. 12-1 shot Anchor Down finished second in the field of nine while Upstart got in for third at 9-1 odds. Marking, Ami's Flatter, Noble Bird, Blofeld, Stanford, Tamarkuz and 4-1 second choice Calculator completed the order of finish. Donworth, El Kabeir and Sloane Avenue scratched.
