Obviously Wins Poker Stakes at Santa Anita Park

Belmont Park in Elmont, New York played host to the $300,000 Grade 3 Poker Stakes on Saturday, June 18 - a one mile turf test for horses four years old and upward. Anthony Fanticola and Joseph Scardino's 2-1 race favorite Obviously posted the gate-to wire win in his first race in four months by 3 3/4 lengths in near record time. 5-1 co-fourth choice Force the Pass finished second in the six horse field with Offering Plan, who was also sent off at 5-1 odds getting in for third. Takeover Target, King Kreesa, and 3-1 second choice Grand Arch completed the order of finish.
