American Gal Wins Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont Park
The $150,000 G3 Victory Ride Stakes took place Sunday, July 9 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York - a 6 1/2-furlong dash for three-year-old fillies. Kaleem Shah's homebred and 6-5 race favorite American Gal finally realized her potential and posted her first ever graded stakes score - by an impressive 4 3/4 lengths after some trouble at the start. Grade 3 winner Vertical Oak finished an OK second as the 9-5 second choice, a neck ahead of 9-2 third choice Noble Freud. Golden Mischief was fourth while Too Much Tip completed the order of finish.
