Belvoir Bay Wins Torrey Pines Stakes at Del Mar Race Track
The Grade 3 Torrey Pines Stakes went down Sunday, August 28 at Del Mar racetrack in Del Mar, California - a one mile dirt test for three year old fillies. It was English-bred Peter Miller trained 7-1 shot Belvoir Bay that emerged victorious in the field that was trimmed to just five after the scratch of three horses including odd-on morning line favorite Enola Gray. 3-5 favorite Bellamentary finished a slightly disappointing second while She's a Warrior got in for third. Nine Point Nine was fourth while Kay Kay completed the order of finish. Dreamarcher, Enola Gray and Uptown Twirl scratched.
