Dark Nile Wins Delaware Oaks at Delaware Park
Delaware Park in Wilmington, Delaware played host to the $300,000 Grade 3 Delaware Oaks on Saturday, July 9. Three year old fillies took to Delaware Park's dirt track and raced 1 1/16 miles. WinStar Farm's Dark Nile prevailed on a sloppy track for her fourth straight win and first ever graded stakes score - by 1 1/4 lengths as the 5-2 second choice. 17-1 shot A Place to Shine closed well to finish second in the field of eight with Kinsely Kisses who was also sent off at 5-2 getting in for third. Miss Inclusive, Dreams to Reality, Downdraft, 2-1 favorite Browse, and Eighth Wonder completed the order of finish. Flora Dora scratched.
