Gold Rush Dancer Wins Longacres Mile at Emerald Downs

Emerald Downs in Auburn, Washington was the scene of the $200,000 G3 Longacres Mile on Sunday, August 13. Horses three years old and upward were featured when they took to Emerald Downs dirt track and raced one mile. It was John Parker's homebred and 4-1 second choice Gold Rush Dancer that dominated the Northwest's premier Thoroughbred race, winning by an impressive 4 3/4 lengths. Slight 7-2 favorite Mach One Rules finished second in the full field of 12 with 30-1 longshot Dedicated to You getting in for third. Barkley came in fourth, while defending Longacres Mile winner Point Piper was fifth and two-time Longacres Mile winner Stryker Phd sixth. Seattle Serenade, Papa Frank, Chief of Staff, Bistraya, Togrammashousewego and Black Sona completed the order of finish.
