Las Vegas, NV - Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida played host to the $200,000 Grade 2 Smile Sprint Stakes on Sunday, July 5 - a six furlong test for older horses. 15-2 shot Favorite Tale pulled off the upset emerging by 4 1/2 lengths over reigning Champion Sprinter and odds-on-favorite Work All Week who finished second and 10-1 shot Wildcat Red who got third. Favorite Tale earned an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup Sprint with the win. Grande Shores, Alsvid, City of Weston, Ledokol, Falling Sky and Singanothersong completed the order of finish.
