Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida was the scene of the $500,000 Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Handicap in Saturday, March 5. Horses four years old and upward were featured in this one mile dirt test. Todd Pletcher trained 9-1 shot Blofeld rediscovered the form that saw him win three straight races to start his career - emerging by just a head in the field of seven. Stablemate Stanford finished second at 5-2 odds while 6-5 favorite Valid was promoted to third after the disqualification of 17-1 shot Anchor Down who it was deemed interfered with Valid and had to settle for fourth. 2-1 second choice Itsaknockout, Hesinfront, and Grande Shores completed the order of finish.
