X Y Jet Wins Mr. Prospector Stakes at Gulfstream Park

The $100,000 G3 Mr. Prospector Stakes was run Saturday, December 23 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Horses three years old and upward took to Gulfstream's dirt track and dashed six furlongs. 3-2 race favorite X Y Jet made a successful return from 13 months away from the track and posted a front-running victory by a half length. It was XY Jet's second win in this particular race. 9-2 third betting choice First Growth finished a good second in the field of 10 with Sonic Mule, the 5-2 second choice, another four lengths back in third. K Wave was fourth while Fast Friar, Fire Mission, Quijote, Quinientos, Yourdreamsormine, and Sweetontheladies completed the order of finish.
