Flatlined Wins Fort Lauderdale Stakes at Gulfstream Park

The $200,000 G2 Ft. Lauderdale Stakes was contested Saturday, January 14 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Horses four years old and upward took to Gulfstream's turf track and raced 1 1/16 miles. It was 15-1 outsider Flatlined that came from well back to record his first ever graded stakes victory - by just a neck over 11-1 shot Almanaar who finished a quality second and 5-2 favorite Divisidero who got in for third. 3-1 second choice Heart to Heart ended up fourth with Rose Brier, Night Prowler, Lukes Alley, Jay Gatsby, Fire Away, Macagone, and Diamond Bachelor completing the order of finish. Copingaway unfortunately went down after clipping heels and was later euthanized.
