It was 9-5 race favorite Killin Me Smalls that prevailed in this race for the second year in a row when he held off a furious charge from 30-1 longshot Venetian Mask who finished a head back in second and Shooting Jacket who got up for third at 6-1 odds. Square Dancer finished fourth in the field of seven while 3-1 second choice Calgary Caper, Royal Warrior and Sorryaboutnothing completed the order of finish.
